About the Regional Council
The East Region EMS & Trauma Care Council is a non-profit corporation consisting of a diverse membership of community professionals from the nine counties of the region (Adams, Asotin, Ferry, Garfield, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens and Whitman). The council is governed by the East Region EMS and Trauma Care Strategic System Plan where required work outlined in RCW 70.168.100 is identified and objectives and strategies explain how the work will be accomplished.
Mission Statement
To establish and promote a system of emergency services which provides for timely and appropriate delivery of medical treatment for people with acute illness and traumatic injury.
Vision Statement
To have all EMS agencies verified and all hospitals trauma designated at the appropriate levels in order to provide every person in the region with access to medical service and trauma care in all communities.
