Local Councils

The East Region is diverse geographically with its mountainous terrain to the north and its farm land mid and south. There are approximately 2100 EMS providers, 71% of them are currently volunteers.
The East Region is the largest EMS region in the state of Washington. It is 15,556 square miles which makes up its nine counties. East Region counties are: Adams, Asotin, Ferry, Garfield, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, and Whitman. The map above displays the location of each county.
Each county has its own local council, which provides representatives to participate in the regional council. Local councils hold individual meetings for the providers in their county. To view individual county meeting schedules, announcements, and documents, use the tabs in the blue bar above.
